Kyle & I drove to Silver City to pick up a generator from Morgan & Lee (who we bought the camper from). We got to the City of Rocks Friday night, after driving through a white out after we went through Hatch, NM. It was tough going for awile, couldn't see the road.
Saturday morning Kelly, Kenny & Derek got there. While they were setting up camp, we drove over to Morgan & Lee's to pick up the generator. They threw in alot of other camping gear they didn't need any more. We hung out at the campground all day. It was windy & cold that night so we stayed in their big tent & played cards.
Sunday we all hiked up in the rocks. I can't believe how big those rocks are. We had lunch & then we packed up & hit the road. We had a very interesting trip. A truck driver was chasing our little egg because he wasn't paying attention when we pulled off the side of the road & he almost crashed into us. So he blamed us for being careless. Go figure. "God is great, beer is good & people are crazy ! "
Kyle & I drove on to Elephant Butte & stayed the night in the rv park with hook-ups. We went & took showers as soon as we got there. Had supper & went to bed kind of early. After breakfast we went on a little walk in morning & then hit the road.
